That said, where do you think you should spend your marketing dollars?
People will do business with you if:
- They like you
- They trust you
- They remember you what you DO for a living

How to avoid being forgotten:
You need to set up some form of referral marketing system – it accomplishes one goal – keeping your name at the forefront. It’s really that simple. Include your friends so they don’t forget you. Stay in front of your audience and business will come in.
The direct business you get from marketing your audience is a byproduct. Mike markets his database for the referral business. When you market your audience you transform them into your unpaid salesforce.

Why do people want to give referrals? The basic fact is, humans like to help each other and they like recognition. It’s a natural reaction to say, “I got a guy”. People give referrals because they want acknowledgement for the recommendation they’ve given and they’re happy to do it again and again as long as you do the right thing.
